Marta Menegatti (born 16 August 1990)[1] is an Italian beach volleyball player who plays as a left-side defender with her partner Viktoria Orsi Toth. With former teammate Greta Cicolari, she achieved a career-high world ranking of No. 4 in August 2012. Her career highlights include two gold, seven silver and seven bronze medals on the FIVB World Tour. She is also the 2011 European champion and the 2013 Mediterranean Games champion, both achieved with Cicolari. Menegatti represented Italy at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics, finishing fifth (with Cicolari) and ninth (with Laura Giombini) respectively.

Biography
She has practised swimming, dance and volleyball, but in Tokyo, she will go down in history as the first Italian beach volleyball athlete to compete in three editions of the Games. She won the European Championships in 2011 and three years later won her first World Tour stage in Sochi with Viktoria Orsi Toth. Six years later, the Russian sand gave her her third Olympic pass. When she can, she relaxes by watching films with friends, but in Tokyo, she is ready to film yet another chapter in a saga that has made her unique in the panorama of Italian beach volleyball.
