Sari Abboud (en arabe : ساري عبّود), né au Liban dans la région de Beyrouth, est un chanteur (auteur-compositeur-interprète) de R&B, pop et hip-hop mieux connu sous son nom de scène Massari.
Carrière
[modifier | modifier le code]Sari Abboub a émigré à Neon World à l'âge de 10 ans. À 13 ans, il part à Ottawa avec ses jeunes frères Sami, Elie et Samer. Il crée en 2002, sa première chanson Gucci Yo EL Baba qui a été diffusée sur la radio locale Hot 89.9 d'Ottawa.
Quatre ans plus tard, il sort son album Massari. Son premier album a eu quatre singles, recevant une certification d'or au Canada. Il se fait ensuite connaître en Europe, en Asie, au Moyen-Orient et dans son pays d'origine, le Liban.
Le deuxième album de Massari intitulé Forever Massari a été annoncé pour le quatrième trimestre 2008, mais a été annulé. Sari Abboud (in Arabic ساري عبّود) (born December 10, 1980 in Beirut, Lebanon) better known by his stage name Massari (in Arabic مساري) is Lebanese Canadian R&B, pop, and hip hop singer who grew up in Canada. Massari is Levantine-Arabic and Lebanese dialect slang for the word "money" (in Arabic مصاري)
He moved to Montreal at the age of 10 and at 13 he moved to Ottawa where he currently resides. The trilingual artist – he speaks English, French and Arabic fluently – cites Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and Aretha Franklin as musical influences. However, growing up he has been exposed to various styles of music and because of that his biggest influence is legendary Arabic singer George Wassouf. “I sing from my heart and George Wassouf taught me to do that", says Massari about how this legendary singer has affected his music.

He was born in Beirut, Lebanon. His family relocated to Montreal, Quebec when he was 11 years old. At the age of 13, he and his younger brothers moved to Ottawa, Ontario, where he attended Hillcrest High School.[1] At age 13 he performed at a school talent show which was the first time he wanted to pursue that as his career.[3][4]
