Calvin Levels (born September 30, 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio) appeared as Private Jackson, a wounded soldier in the Season 8 episode of the CBS-TV series M*A*S*H titled "War Co-Respondent". A respected veteran stage, film and TV actor of over 3 decades, Calvin, In 1984, won a Theatre World Award and was nominated for both the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play for his portrayal of Calvin Jefferson in Open Admissions. The reviews of many film critics of his performance in the 1994 horror film Hellbound marked an important point in his cinematic career.[1] Levels is perhaps best known for his roles in the films Adventures in Babysitting (1987), and The Atlanta Child Murders (1985).

Calvin Levels began his love affair with the theatre at the tender age of five at the renowned Karamu Theater in Cleveland, Ohio. He moved to Los Angeles to pursue a professional acting career and studied with Lee Strasberg.

Some of his film credits include Ragtime directed by Milos Forman; the CBS five-hour mini-series The Atlanta Child Murders, in which he portrayed the central character Wayne Williams - also starring Morgan Freeman, Jason Robards, Martin Sheen, Ruby Dee, Rip Torn and a long list of notables; Convicts, starring Robert Duval and James Earl Jones; Johnny Suede co-starring Brad Pitt and Adventures in Babysitting, starring Elizabeth Shue. His television credits include several regular roles on network series, as well as many guest starring roles. 

Mr. Levels is a member of The Actors Studio and has worked with many theaters across the country, including The Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. In New York he has appeared in Open Admissions, the one-act at The Ensemble Studio Theatre; Open Admissions at The Longwharf Theatre; David Mamet's The Shawl at Lincoln Center
