Monica Maria (Padilla) Padilla
Monica Maria Padilla, born on November 26, 1992, in Albuquerque and was raised in Los Lunas, passed away on December 17, 2024, in Denver, Colorado, where she had lived for the past two years. She was 32 years old.
Monica was preceded in death by her brother Leo and her grandparents Max and Lou Padilla.
She is survived by her beloved Maxie, her mother Marla Padilla, her grandmother Mary Gabaldon, several aunts and uncles, and many cousins.
Monica will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love for life, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Rest in peace, Monica. You will be deeply missed.

Monica is a multidisciplinary artist that specializes in aerial acrobatics and dance. She fuses together aerial and decades of classical ballet training, making her known for her grace and poise in the air.
While ballet is her forte, on the ground Monica is also trained in jazz and modern dance. She has most recently collaborated with SacDanceLab, Hip Service and Borne Dance Company in the Sacramento area. In the air, she specializes in aerial silks, hammock, lyra and she enjoys the silver kisses of aerial chain. She captivates audiences with rich storytelling through the use of musicality and dynamic movements, leaving them in awe at her acrobatics. Her performances have enchanted audiences across a variety of venues, from the Crocker Art Museum and California Academy of Sciences, to the Rancho Victoria Vineyard, Chase Center, backyard get togethers and corporate retreats.
