Hilaria del Rosario y Reyes (17 February 1877-6 March 1921) was First Lady of the Philippines from 22 March 1897 to 1 April 1901 as the wife of Emilio Aguinaldo.

Biography[]

Hilaria del Rosario y Reyes was born in Imus, Cavite, Philippines on 17 February 1877, and she married Emilio Aguinaldo on 1 January 1896. During the Philippine-Amerrican War, she became the de facto First Lady of the Philippines while her husband was President, and she organized the Red Cross Association in the country and raised funds for medicines and other medical supplies. She was captured by US forces in 1900 and reunited with her husband after his capture in 1901, and she died of tuberculosis in 1921 at the age of 44.
