Donna Terrell anchors FOX16 News weekdays at 5:30PM and 9PM. She joined FOX16 in February of 2004.
Donna arrived in Little Rock from Detroit, Michigan, where she served as Anchor for WKBD-TV and WWJ-TV. Before moving to Detroit, she worked at WKYC-TV in Cleveland, Ohio. She also held anchoring and reporting positions in South Bend, Indiana and Battle Creek, Michigan.
Throughout her broadcast career, Donna has been honored with several awards. Most recently earning a Regional Emmy Award for her work as a News Anchor. She also won the National American Legion Fourth Estate Award and an Associated Press Award for her special reports on Grieving a Child. She garnered two more Emmy Awards for her work bringing light to cosmetic surgery and breast cancer issues. She has been nominated for many other Emmy Awards including a a story she did involving Arkansas’ Little Rock 9, a story she covered on her daughter’s battle with colon cancer and for her work as an Anchor. Donna also earned an Associated Press Award for her story on the controversial patients’ Right To Die.

On Mother’s Day I received quite a few messages from people saying they were thinking of me. In a text message someone wrote “I know how difficult this day can be”. It’s true, Mother’s Day and many holidays can bring thoughts of my daughter. Many of you know that my only child, Queah passed away in 2011 from colon cancer. I have written blog entries about it many times. I’m still very much a grieving mother. But it’s not always the holidays that get me down — it’s the other days.
Case and point – today, I was driving to work with the radio on. Some words from a song triggered a memory of Queah. I tried to fight the feeling that was was coming over me but I couldn’t. I started having vivid thoughts of her. I remembered some of the things she said to me right before she died. I also began to remember how she struggled physically and how painful her battle was. The next thing I knew my eyes was filled with tears and there I was once again
